On 16 September 2025, the conference known as ProtecLink 2025—hosted by Ithegi Electronics at the Polokwane Royal Hotel in Polokwane, South Africa—brought together stakeholders across the security, finance, and technology sectors.
ProtecLink 2025 represented a significant moment for the private security sector in South Africa. By bringing together regulators, business-owners, tech-vendors and finance-partners, it provided a platform for honest discussion of what it takes to transform the industry—not just upgrade the gadgets, but rethink the workflows, the culture and the value delivered.
